FM Zarif highlights "resistance to injustice and tyranny"

Foreign Minister of Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad-Javad Zarif has commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).

The FM twitted on Saturday, “Since 680 CE, millions of Muslims have commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Hussein.”

“Honoring his great sacrifice has ingrained resistance to tyranny and injustice in hearts and souls of his followers for centuries,” he continued, quoting the Imam, “I do not see death but bliss, and life under tyranny but misery.”

Zarif also posted two photos citing words by Imam Hussein (AS) during the Battle of Karbala.
